By recognizing your face Spark can now lift off from your hand using FaceAware technology. (1) After take off it hovers in place within seconds of powering the unit on. When using this function it is highly recommended that propeller guards are installed.

Take selfies to a whole new level. Simple hand motions allow you take selfies with the integrated deep learning gestures. Control Spark’s movement by hand with PalmControl mode. These gestures can automate your Sparks flight allowing you to leave your remote controller and phone at home.
Mechanical Gimbal Stabilization
Keep shots stable and detailed with Spark’s 2-Axis mechanical gimbal and UltraSmooth technology. Spark’s gimbal will reduce shake and rolling shutter effect.
CAPTURE THE WORLD
An f/2.6 wide-angle lens with a 25 mm equivalent focal length encompasses Spark’s camera. Images from the Spark are always sharp and vivid with limited color aberration and distortion. Five elements are arranged into a single group that fit into a compressed frame.
RECORD MORE DETAILS
With Spark being small and compact it’s small but powerful camera features a ½.3 inch CMOS sensor that allows you to shoot stabilized video at 1080p and stills at an incredible 12 MP. The larger pixel resolution allows Spark to be acutely sensitive to light and record colors are precise as possible.

Sport mode unleashes Spark’s speed potential. Gimbal mode is automatically set to FPV mode when switched to Sport Mode. FPV mode allows the camera to move with you as you fly. For an upgraded FPV experience, pick up a pair of DJI Goggles and see a different world.(5)
Main components of the Spark include the main camera, vision positioning system (VPS), 3D sensing system, dual-band GPS, high-precision inertial measurement unit, and 24 powerful computing cores. The components of the FlightAutonomy system allows Spark to hover accurately anywhere with VPS assistance at up to 98 ft (30 m), sense obstacles from up to 16 ft (5 m) away, and land safely.
Return to Home
Ensure a worry free flight as Spark can return to its home point automatically with sufficient GPS signal. This feature has been carried over from all recent DJI drones to the personal Spark drone. Once home point is acquired Spark will return home if the battery gets too low, connection is lost, or you hit the Return to Home (RTH) button. Even more, Spark will sense obstacles in its path as it returns home. Spark’s downward-facing camera captures images of the area surrounding the home point and references these images during RTH for a safe landing.
DJI’s GEO system lets you know where drone flights may raise safety or security concerns, such as near airports or stadiums. This provides the information needed to fly Spark safely and responsibly.

Spark uses a high energy density LiPo battery for optimal performance. 12 intelligent protection functions help deliver safe flight. Additionally, Spark’s battery estimates remaining flight time, letting you know when to land in real time.
